Marine and Ocean Engineer: Operations Director for the research boats

What I do:
I manage the boat schedules and the dive support team that maintains the underwater equipment located at the Long-term Ecosystem Observatory. I am responsible for the overall operation of the undersea observatory including the deployment of the scientific equipment.

What I like best about my job:
I really enjoy the variety of challenges in working at the Rutgers University Marine Field Station. My team and I dive in all kinds of weather conditions including four foot seas! I really enjoy the challenges associated with supporting scientific research at the world's first undersea observatory. I also enjoy working with a diversity of people.
